The subject of the ditches was discussed and Ray has confirmed the growth of stinging nettles and grass will be cut back.

To assist Ray, it has been suggested that a working party will be attending on a Tuesday, following golf, alternate Friday mornings, at 10′ o clock,  to deep rake the bunkers and de-weed, also the edges around the whole bunker.  This should free up manpower thus hopefully allowing for clearance of the ditches, all help with this is welcomed and much appreciated.

Apart from these issues the course is looking in good condition. However, enter the rough at your peril!!

The new bunker rota will be available in the cabin next week.  If your name is not currently on the list, please place your name to one of the bunkers where there is a space and make sure you rake it well,  each time you play.

Please remember to repair all divots and pitch marks on the green.

 Many thanks

  1. Played in the club championship last Sunday and would like to thank Ray Kester and his team for the presentation of the course. It was obvious a lot of hard work had been put in especially the greens which were the best Ive seen them this year.

    Thank you Carts

  2. The Seniors played Millbrook on Thursday this was our first game at home against Millbrook. They all commented how well presented the course was and wished me to pass their thanks to our grounds staff for all there hard work. I understand one of the Millbrook team was walking the course before the game and congratulated one of the ground staff he saw. Well done Ray and his team.

  3. BIG PLEA to members

Please keep trolleys off the aprons of the greens

There is even evidence of a trolley being wheeled straight across the 3rd and 6th greens on Sunday
    3rd November

Please think of your actions and how it effects the very wet grass we have at the moment

Also please encourage members to use pathways particularly the bluebell walk from the 4th green to the 5 tee. The 5th fairway is very wet
